In this webinar Jamie and Carolyn Shaak perform and discuss Bernard and Carolyn Shaak’s popular piano solos from the original Piano Partners, Events for Piano Series, and Celebrations. Get an inside peek into the offerings at Shaak Piano Music with highlights of the top 20 piano solos students love from their collection. Jamie also performs Penelope’s Dream, her first piano solo for elementary level pianists which was chosen for the Federation Festival 2020-2023 in the Medium Class level.
The Shaak “method” first started to evolve in the 1950’s when Bernard and Carolyn Shaak met while working on their Masters of Music and Music Education Degrees at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City eventually culminating in their collection of Piano Method Books and Original Compositions and the Shaak Piano Music Studio in Denver, Colorado.
Jamie moved back to Denver to continue composing and teaching at the Shaak Music Studios that her parents Bernard and Carolyn started in the 60’s. She has been speaking across the country and loves sharing her ideas and the materials of the Shaak Family.
